The SFTF 2008 Application is available HERE!!!

Application Check List & Important Things To Be Aware Of:

-Applicants must submit CD, DVD or VHS of your performance (even if it is not the same show you will present at the festival) for our review with your application. If video is not available, kindly provide history of your group or performance and history of your presentation.

-Promotional photos of your performance group (large jpegs preferred). Burn images to CD for promotional use by the SFTF.

-You will be required to sign a standard Performer Agreement BEFORE performing in the festival.

- * Means the information is REQUIRED in order for your application to be reviewed.

-Please keep a copy of this application for your own reference.

-If you have changes to this application information (even the slightest detail), or as details become known, please get the new information to us promptly to avoid program errors or festival scheduling changes.

-The information submitted on this application will be used on the San Francisco Theater Festival program and other publications, unless updated by YOU.

-The festival requires your help with promotion. In order to encourage a large festival audience, we will be doing a huge amount of promotional work. We ask that you do your part to get the word out as well. Please put a link from your site to ours! We’ll do the same for you.

-The Performer Updates page of our website (www.sftheaterfestival.org) is a great place to check every so often for new information as the festival draws near.

PROMOTION: Each performer and performance group must promote the festival directly to its constituency through mailing lists, websites, newsletters, emails, flyers, and also by distributing festival flyers and posters. We will be in contact to discuss the ways in which you can promote the festival.

VOLUNTEERS: All theater groups are asked to provide two volunteers during the festival. Provide us with their names and contact info (email or phone number) as soon as you have confirmed their participation.

TABLE SPACE: Your group is offered free table space for distribution of marketing literature. You are responsible for staffing your table from 11:00am to 5:00pm. You must RSVP regarding the table if you plan to use it.

AGREEMENT FORM: All performers and volunteers must sign a festival agreement concerning liability before participating in the festival. The agreement form is available online. These forms are required to be signed BEFORE your performance and/or participation in the festival.

ADDITIONAL HELP: The festival is also seeking additional stage hosts, set-up crew, and stage managers. These are volunteer positions. The festival is also seeking a small number of "ambiance performers" such as mimes, jugglers, etc. If you or someone you know would be interested in participating, please have him/her email producer[at]sftheaterfestival.org for further information.

We look forward to working with you all!

Thank you,
SF Theater Festival Staff
