Mission Statement
The San Francisco Theater Festival (SFTF) produces an annual event held at Yerba Buena Gardens in both indoor and outdoor venues. The festival promotes the region’s many live-stage theaters to a broad and diverse audience, from small children to adults, and those with low income, in order to increase appreciation for, and build attendance to, the Bay Area’s culturally and artistically-varied theater groups.
Who We Are
The San Francisco Theater Festival is managed and run by a small group of volunteers. The board is similarly a small group that believes in the value of a large public event that celebrates live theater. At this point, there is no plan to hire paid staff. For 2007, approximately 60 volunteers were involved.
